Electricity retailer Diamond Energy has signed a deal with some leading solar PV installers in Victoria, allowing customers to access an additional 25 c/kWh feed-in bonus over and above the current regulated rate of 8 c/kWh. Many other installers within Solar Choice’s network offer a variety of alternative incentives for our customers.

There is a cap placed on energy generation, PV systems sized up to and including 3kW can produce up to 76kWh per calendar month or approx. 2.5kWh per day, systems between 3kW and 100kW are capped at 137kWh per month (approx 4.5 kWh per day). Customers who sign up for the scheme will receive the 25¢ rate for the next three years.
Victorian customers should also be aware that last Friday the Federal Government announced the reduction in the Solar Credit scheme 6 months early. Customers who had not signed a contract with an installer prior to 16 November 2012 will have to have their system fully installed before the end of the year to take advantage of the 2x multiplier.

Hi Noel,
You would have to contact Diamond Energy directly for confirmation, but I believe that you had to have your system installed by one of Diamond Energy’s partners to qualify the offer. You can come through the Solar Choice website and get the same offer, plus our Solar Choice discount, giving you the best deal for your system. Diamond does offer good deals outside of this offer so it’s worth talking to them regardless.
