Reconsider the Wattpilot if you have a PV battery
The sales process was excellent. Speaking with a qualified electrician with installation experience gave me confidence that the design of the system ensured there were minimal disruptions on installation day. The installers very very punctual and friendly, and explained every step of the process and what I should expect. I required some post-installation support for accessing systems, which was provided very quickly. They have also been very active in supporting the issues with the Fronius Wattpilot. I also faced many challenges with Jemena unfortunately, which my installer dealt with.
EV Charger - Fronius
The Fronius Wattpilot is disappointing for the price. Eco Mode and Next Trip Mode are not fully available in Australia and only support EU country Flexible Tariffs, which isn't mentioned in Australian advertising. Australian daylight savings isn't supported either currently. The Wattpilot will also drain your PV battery on the house when your solar PV production drops (e.g. when clouds pass over) whether you want it to or not. While this might be interesting to continue charging for a cloud for a short period, if the sun doesn't come back, the Wattpilot will drain your battery into your EV. The app settings for PV battery threshold control do not work either. When setting a threshold, the battery will drain to the limit rapidly, and then continue to drain the battery if there is insufficient PV surplus. Disabling it doesn't prevent PV battery drain either. The only way to prevent the battery drain during the day was with a Home Assistant automation solution, and overnight using the Fronius-BYD battery discharge limitation. Without them, the Wattpilot will leave you with no PV battery charge to cover the evening peak loads for the house. The Wattpilot app is poorly designed, and not at all intuitive. Features do not work as specified in Australia, and you are paying a premium price. While there is a perceived advantage for integration with the Fronius inverter, it's poor implementation is actually it's downfall. I don't see why anyone would want to drain their PV battery into their EV, and pay peak prices in the evening. The screenshot of the Wattpilot app in this review even shows the battery being drained... (green part of the circle). I only use the Scheduler to allow charging during EV off peak rate periods, with minimal PV surplus charging. With the EV able to take 11kW, using a 13kW system, I often have the Wattpilot draining the battery when using PV surplus unless it is stopped.

I done a lot of research on these panels and all I can say is wow!! Their performance warranty and product warranty are the best I have seen! Definitely would recommend these panels.
