Start or stop charging sessions from anywhere, giving you the flexibility to take advantage of off-peak electricity rates or solar energy production.

Scheduled Charging

Set charging schedules to automatically charge your EV when it’s most convenient or cost-effective for you, such as during the night or when your solar panels are producing excess energy.

8 Metre Tethered Cable

The Smappee home EV Charger has the option of including a tethered 8 metre cable. If you are looking for a tethered solution with a long cable, Smappee is one of the longest we’ve seen on the market with most tethered cables being around 5 metres to 6 metres.

Warranty & Service

Smappee offers a 2-year warranty on their EV Chargers which is set out in sections 8 and 9 of their general terms and conditions. The terms include the common exclusions for things like improper use and installation.

Most EV Chargers on the market come with a 2-year or 3-year warranty, so it is a shorter offer than expected from Smappee for a premium-priced solution.

Although Smappee don’t have a local office, their local representation in Australia is through strategic partner State of Charge. State of Charge will support distributors and installers of Smappee products to co-ordinate any warranty claims. As per Smappee’s website they can be contacted at australia@smappee.com or on +61 434 777 814.

Should I Buy a Smappee EV Charger?

The Smappee EV Charger is a great fit for customers who see value in a more holistic monitoring solution for their homes. The Smappee EV Charger includes a lot of market-leading functionality and meets all expectations from a technical standpoint.
