Up and down, stressful experience

Installer Comments
Up and down. Sales people were great and the engineers designs were clear. Installers were subcontractors who dragged the panels up PVC pipes causing some marks on the front that they assured us didn't matter. Converter was installed in an odd place with pipes going everywhere. Could have been done better like our neighbours who had the wiring hidden behind the wall. Working well during the first times and then later there was some problem with the software which could not be resolved. We had to purchase additional hardware and support was lacking because they said ownership had changed hands.
Solar Panel - Trina
Really unsure about the different options and none of the companies were able to give us any information that could help us choose. Note of explanations about the output and things didn't really seem to make sense. In the end this just chose a brand that seemed to be commonly used.
Solar Inverter - Fronius
Seemed to be a reliable and well used brand. Not sure it was installed in an ideal place, it's in the direct sunlight when it could have been in the shade most of the day.

Until the day where the company has promised to install the solar all good and no issue. On the day of installation all the issues where identified snd no solutions offered. Complete waste of my time. I would not recommend Banana Solar

Banana solar was good to deal with throughout the process, their sales team wasn’t pushy or aggressive as all as some other companies we contacted and provided us with advise when we asked. The installation went smooth and exactly as they advised us and the team took care not to damage anything. After the installation Banana Solar provided us with some forms on setting us up so we could get a feed-in tariff and some information on how to get the best deal. Overall we are happy and would recommend Banana Solar.
Solar Inverter - Sungrow
Not much to comment on, we can monitor generation of energy on an app, unfortunately that loses connection to our network occasionally but I believe that has more to do with our network (which at the moment is temperamental) then with the inverter. The app provides lots of info by the way which is (in a nerdy way) quite interesting.
