Ordered 3 systems for 3 houses. After installation, none of the systems worked and required further attention before inspection. One failed inspection because of poor installation practices, and another failed because of electrical issues. The one system that passed inspection and seemed to be working, did not communicate with the smart meter and required more wiring to be installed. This system was inspected again after three years and failed because the inverter installed on an exterior brick wall was designed for indoor use only. We had several discussions with Green & Gold before they agreed to provide a 2nd-hand inverter suitable for exterior use. The local installers in Canberra had little clue what they seemed to need to do the job, and on one occasion arrived without ladders and suitable tools to attend to rectification work. For one system, we still do not have the ability to interrogate the inverter to see what is happening; repeated calls and e-mails to Green & Gold have fallen on deaf ears. Caveat Emptor.

Solar Inverter - Fronius
Of the three systems, two are Fronius, and one is Huawei. We still do not have the ability to communicate with the Huawei despite repeated requests to Green and Gold.

Sydney company that did not know Canberra's installation requirements. Installation failed inspection and after 2 years the company wanted to take me to court for final payment. Had to get the ACT Planning Authority to force the company to rectify the system and after the system passed inspection and receiving the Certificate of Electrical Safety the final payment was made.

Communication to get business was ok. There were a few hiccups - only suggestion is goo clear communication by either phone or email for clarification and informing the customer what stage they were up to would have been good.
