Waterfront lifestyle apartment achieves solar goal

Cove 35 is a waterfront apartment building offering luxurious living in a secure, modern set-up with a lift, gardens, swimming pool and BBQ area. With 48 units on-site and spending between $15,000 – $20,000 per year on energy on the common area, solar was a well suited option for the residence to consider on their excellent available roof space.

Solar Choice initially provided 5 local installer options for the building manager, committee and strata service to consider. We also engaged our Engineering Team to provide a detailed and impartial Business Case to assist with their investigations.

Following numerous discussions an installer was selected and contracted to complete a 40kw installation using premium 395w SunPower panels coupled with a Fronius inverter.

The system is expected to pay for itself through energy savings within the next 5 years and will save approximately $165,000 over the next 15 years.
