Solar Choice has been helping Gympie Council assessing the potential for a solar installatin across more than 10 buildings ranging from simple office spaces to sewage treatment plants.
The first project got underway in 2020 with a 27kW solar system installed on the Gympie Council Chambers. The project featured Solaredge inverters which will help the system be resilient to the shading impacts of the taller building on the North-Western side. The 27kW system also included 82 x 330W Q Cells Q.Maxx solar panels which offer a 12-year product warranty.
This is the first step in broader plans to convert all council-owned buildings to solar power.
