NSW based retailer, Hunter Region Cash Converters has installed a 55kW across 3 sites in Newcastle.
The company was looking to make a positive impact on the environment by reducing the carbon footprint of its operations. This project will offset an estimated 1200 tonnes of CO2 emissions which is the equivalent of taking almost 14 cars permanently off the road.
Solar Choice was engaged to provide independent analysis and advice on the different options available to the business owners and manage a competitive tender process which enabled the business to access better than market rates.
The installed solar power systems feature 168 x 330W Suntech Solar Panels and 3 x Fronius 10kW and 1 x Fronius 20kW Smart Inverters.
Overall, the solar system will save the business almost $200k in electricity costs over the next 20 years assuming no increases in electricity prices.
