Sydney based animal pharmaceutical manufacturing company, Troy Animal Healthcare, has installed a 200kW solar panel system on the roof of their production facility based in the suburb of Glendenning, NSW.
The award-winning company were looking to make a positive impact on the environment by reducing the carbon footprint and supply a significant amount of energy needs for its operations. This project will offset over 5,000 tonnes of CO2 emissions which is the equivalent of taking almost 60 cars permanently off the road.
Solar Choice was engaged to provide independent analysis and advice on the different options available to the business owners and manage a competitive tender process which enabled the business to access better than market rates.
The installed solar power systems feature 666 x 300W Trina Solar Panels and 7 x SMA Tri Power inverters. Overall, the solar power system will save the business well over half a million dollars in electricity costs over the life of the system assuming no increases in electricity prices.
