- Consumption CTs are required for self-consumption of excess solar
- The IQ Load Controller may be required to manage EV charger load during grid outages
- For EV charger use during a grid outage, it must be part of a solar battery system and be connected to a backup panel and the system must have sufficient energy storage to support the charger, and not be installed on a system with IQ8 Microinverters and Sunlight Backup configuration, or certain other configurations (see technical documentation for more information.)

9. Warranty and Service
The Enphase IQ EV Charger 2 has only been on the local market since May 2025 so performance in the market is still unproven. It has a decent five year warranty though, providing coverage for defects in workmanship or materials.
The warranty excludes labour, cosmetic issues, third-party components, improper installation, environmental damage, firmware/profile issues, and does not cover software or data recovery. Australian Consumer Law rights still apply for major faults.
