In addition to the installation of the unit itself, there are site-specific requirements:
- Consumption CTs are required for self-consumption of excess solar
- The IQ Load Controller may be required to manage EV charger load during grid outages
- For EV charger use during a grid outage, it must be part of a solar battery system and be connected to a backup panel and the system must have sufficient energy storage to support the charger, and not be installed on a system with IQ8 Microinverters and Sunlight Backup configuration, or certain other configurations (see technical documentation for more information.)

9. Warranty and Service
The Enphase IQ EV Charger 2 has only been on the local market since May 2025 so performance in the market is still unproven. It has a decent five year warranty though, providing coverage for defects in workmanship or materials.
The warranty excludes labour, cosmetic issues, third-party components, improper installation, environmental damage, firmware/profile issues, and does not cover software or data recovery. Australian Consumer Law rights still apply for major faults.
Suspected faults can be submitted via your Enphase installer. Enphase may, at its discretion, repair or replace the defective charger — or offer a refund, minus depreciation — if repair or replacement is impractical.
The charger includes a service panel that allows for simplified physical access if onsite inspection or maintenance is required.
It also supports remote troubleshooting via the Enphase Installer App, meaning technicians can diagnose potential EV charger issues without needing onsite visits where possible.
