Over 6 months and I still have no battery?!

I'm just going to state facts here and you can decide if its reasonable. Keep in mind, we have to ensure someone is home and both my husband and I work from the office in the CBD so we have to take time off or beg to be able to WFH each time they organise to come out. 20th of May 2025 - Engaged Salesperson to discuss adding a Sigenstor battery to my Solar System. 23rd of May 2025 - Signed the contract knowing that the installation would have to be from July onwards for the Federal battery rebate. While no promises were made, Salesperson assured me that they were expecting around August/September to start installations. 11th of August 2025 - I send an email to the Salesperson just checking in and see if there is an ETA. No reply 23rd of August 2025 - They finally call and suggest the 18th of September. I say no problem. 18th of September 2025 - They don't show up. No reply or communication as to why. 13th of October 2025 - They message and we resechedule for the 15th of October. 15th of October 2025 - They don't show up. Some communication this time with Head office messaging and saying that they've been delayed at another job but will come in the afternoon between 12-1. They don't show up. No further reply from head office to messages. 16th of October 2025 - Get a call from Head Office. Apologetic and rescheduled for the 23rd of October. No problem, I get it, stuff happens, they're busy. 23rd of October 2025 - They show up! Put the Battery In but encounter a problem and need to get a part to finalise the installation. Says he'll be back that weekend to finish the job. No problem. 25th of October 2025 - They don't show up. No communication. Fair enough, its the weekend but I had to stay at home all Saturday waiting for them to come without any communication they weren't coming. 3rd of November 2025 - Get a call and we schedule in the 5th of November to get it all finalised. 5th of November 2025 - They don't show up. No reply or communication as to why. 17th of November 2025 - I message to request an update. No reply. 3rd of December 2025 - Another message, another no reply. This time call Adapt head office as well. They say someone in NSW will call. No one calls. 4th of December 2025 - I call again. Same guy from the 3rd who requested the NSW team to call me. He's apologetic and says he'll get to the bottom of it. To his credit, he does speak to management and gets a date locked away for me. The 22nd of December. I'm exceptionally grateful to get a date locked away and it looks like management are across it and it's going to get done. 22nd of December 2025 - They don't show up. No reply/communication. By my count they haven't shown up 5 out of the 6 times they've scheduled me in. All without any communication. A few of them I'm not even getting a call after and I've been chasing them. In the end, I'm bitterly disappointed in Adapt Energy. They assured me they were THE top Sigenstor installer and have a great track record. Their technical work may be amazing (I wouldn't know) but their lack of communication and total disregard for my time is untenable. I'd strongly suggest you go with another installer if you want a job done in a reasonable time with good communication.

I wish I'd been able to find a truly local company: not just a local installer, but someone who actually came around, visited the site and worked with me to talk about what features I wanted: for instance, a smart meter is something I would really have liked, but it wasn't really on the radar or brought up at all by the sales team.

I did a lot of research on this site and others and knew what kind of system I wanted. I initially spoke to Jeff at Adapt who was very knowledgeable and able to answer all of my questions. We received a competitive quote that for the quality products I was looking for. We had a couple of problems throughout our installation that were the fault of the installer, not Adapt Energy. Both Paul and Miles were extremely helpful throughout this process and repeatedly checked in that we were happy with our install, products and service.
