Opted for more expensive micro inverter due to shading issues in summer. Beacon Solar offered excellent component and workmanship warranties, has installed >10K systems and is a long standing company.

Beacon Solar have been fantastic. I had originally signed up with Metro Solar however they were hopeless. Contracts signed in early October 2013. Installation was scheduled for 4 weeks later. Many follow up were made and installation was to occur 31/01/14. Four months after contracts signed. On the day of install, the installer determined that their quote did not include costs to connect from the panels (on shed) to the house approx. 50 metres distance! They had aerial photos, they talked me into placing the panels on the shed roof, yet now they were saying their quote did not include the extra cost! Long story cut short, they would not honour their quote, I had lost 4 months and had to start again. I found Beacon from this site. They knew their stuff, were very helpful, were able to complete the required paper work and obtain power company's approval for the planned installation within 7 days! and the system was installed within the promised time frame (within 4 weeks). Only one problem, the installer did not record the serial numbers for each of the micro inverters so now the on line monitoring system can not be activated! I have been chasing Beacon Solar to fix this but no joy yet now 5 months later. I have with held $1000 from the final payment until they fix. Overall I would highly recommend Beacon Solar.
