E-Green Electrical recently installed our solar system, and I'm happy to say the panels plus battery have been running reliably since activation, meeting expected energy output. However, the sales experience was uncomfortable. I was contacted multiple times daily with persistent pressure to close the deal quickly, which I found off-putting and unnecessary. This high-pressure approach doesn't align with the collaborative, considered decision-making such a significant investment deserves. The first big letdown was missing the NSW battery rebate, worth $1,015. The selected battery capacity simply didn't qualify under the specific rules, but neither my own research nor E-Green's guidance during the sales and planning stages flagged those exact requirements upfront. We discussed system sizing and options at length, yet this key eligibility detail slipped through, meaning substantial savings vanished without warning until it was too late to adjust. Even more frustrating was the final panel layout, which deviated from the agreed proposal I'd meticulously reviewed and approved. I spent considerable time—multiple rounds of proposals, revisions, questions, and back-and-forth—to refine the design until it matched my roof, aesthetics, and performance goals perfectly on paper. It felt like we'd nailed it after all that attention to detail. However, E-Green changed the layout due to supply matters but never shared the updated design with me or the installer for approval. Despite my early post-install feedback via email and calls raising the mismatch clearly, no practical fixes were feasible, no compensation offered, and no alternative solutions proposed, which felt like a real betrayal of that collaborative planning effort. With those major planning frustrations stemming from company-level oversight gaps, the installation team themselves did a good job on the core technical work. However, avoidable post-install issues required my persistence to address: significant rubbish was left behind, forcing back-and-forth before they agreed to cover the removal costs. I was also only recently informed that a roof tile I noticed was broken had apparently already been damaged before installation and was moved to a less vulnerable position by the installer—communication about this at the time would have been appreciated. Their business model of relying on third-party installers (as opposed to an in-house team, which would be my strong preference if choosing again) seems to contribute heavily to these disconnects—greater direct oversight from E-Green staff might have bridged planning promises to on-roof reality and caught rebate pitfalls earlier. Bottom line: I'm genuinely happy the system works well and generates as expected, delivering real energy savings day-to-day, and the minor post-install hassles got addressed over time. However, the aggressive sales tactics, rebate loss, and—especially—the unapproved layout changes make this a mixed experience overall. To future buyers: be prepared for persistent sales contact and don't let pressure rush your decision; insist on written confirmation of any layout changes before installation; confirm exact rebate eligibility (especially battery capacity thresholds) with official documentation before signing; ask pointed questions about in-house vs. third-party installation teams and their quality controls; and verify on installation day that the layout matches your approved proposal.
