Aquatech Rapid X6 installation
We installed an Aquatech Rapid X6 about 5 weeks ago. So far, extremely happy with how it is performing and with the installation. We used Melbourne Heat Pumps, who were great from start to finish. Very reasonable price and they could install quickly, which we needed as our hot water had died. They also accommodated our specific installation requirements (hide pipes as much as possible in the roof space and double brick cavity) with no issue. Where others tried to steer me in different directions, Melbourne Heat Pumps just said: 'yep, we can do that' — and they did! They also took time to ensure the heat pump is away from the window and out of view as much as possible. The installers turned up on time and were great to deal with. When I had post-installation questions about the temperature settings, they were also responsive in answering my questions. Highly recommended.
Heat Pump - Aquatech
Aquatech Rapid X6 - so far, extremely happy with how it is performing. Plenty of hot water, as required. Initially I set up timers directly on the unit and that worked well, allowing me to run the unit only during off peak and daytime hours. I've now set up the same timers using the wifi app and they are also running well. I love the control given by the timers and the wifi app is a great way to see what the system is doing and to control timers and operation, from the comfort of your lounge room. Very happy with the product so far.

Gavin and his crew were easy to deal with and came up with great solutions to my installation problems. The installation was very neat. I had a small issue that they returned and fixed at short notice.

To early to say. However, I chose a Reclaim system because of the high coefficient of performance and reviews from others.

Melbourne Heat Pumps provided and excellent service, starting with the initial consultation by Gavin, and then Ari managed the whole process to the end in a very efficient and friendly manner. The Reclaim HP installation done by the two Garys went great as well, arriving on time, doing the job and left everything neat and tidy. As far as I can judge the installation was done according to the manufacturing standards. I highly recommend this company.

Excellent process from enquiry to quote to installation from Melbourne Heat Pumps, and a competitive price. Gavin and Ari and his team were responsive to enquiries, immediate call-back to answer queries, and friendly in all their communications. Installation of the Aquatech X6 was excellent - quick, efficient, trouble-free, old HWS removed, complete clean up, new system looks great, and works beautifully, particularly the phone app. I would recommend Melbourne Heat Pumps for purchase and installation of a Heat Pump.

I decided to purchase the Aquatech X6 Hot Water Heat Pump after extensive research into heat pumps (to replace my still working gas heater) including products available, efficiency, upfront costs, cost to operate-cost savings, Govt. rebates, etc. Based on many reviews, I went with the Aquatech X6 as it ticked every box, including a very good Web site, and I chose Melbourne Heat Pumps for the purchase and installation. It’s early days however The Aquatech X6 runs beautifully and is good if not better than I hoped. It has multiple heating modes and timers to allow you to choose the best (most efficient, ie cheapest) way to heat, depending on your requirements. It’s amazingly customizable using the easy to use phone app, with 5 heating modes, so for example you can set up to work best with solar generation, large or small households, when to turn the heater on/off, extra heat demand, etc with end result you can fine tune the heater to minimize the running costs without compromising the supply of hot water. And the setup can be changed instantly via the app. with all relevant information available on the app. I’m still to fully tweak the optimization but I’m confident I can extract even better operation than currently. Note you don’t need to use the app. as the heater has it’s own control panel, just more fun to do it remotely!
