How was the sales process? From start to finish, the sales process was nothing short of exceptional. The team at Solahart took the time to understand my household’s energy needs and offered a solution that was both cost-effective and future-focused. I never felt pressured—only well-informed. I especially appreciated the transparent quoting process and the personalised attention I received from the sales consultant. Were installers friendly, punctual and tidy on the day? Absolutely! The installers arrived right on time, introduced themselves politely, and got straight to work. When the job was done, they gave me a detailed walkthrough of the system and left everything spotless. It was a seamless and stress-free experience. Have you needed any post-installation support? The SolarEdge inverter has been an outstanding addition to our solar system—efficient, intelligent, and remarkably user-friendly. Its ability to track individual panel performance is incredibly helpful, and the app makes monitoring our energy usage a breeze. What really sets it apart, though, is its seamless integration with the SolarEdge battery. The system is clearly designed with future expansion in mind, and having the battery-ready functionality built in gave us the confidence to invest in storage when the time was right. It’s a smart, quiet, and reliable piece of technology that brings everything together beautifully. A must-have for anyone thinking about full energy independence.
Battery - SolarEdge
The SolarEdge battery proved its worth in the most critical of circumstances—during the 8 days we were without power after Cyclone Alfred. While the grid was down, our home remained energised, secure, and comfortable, all thanks to this incredibly reliable system. Its performance was rock solid—charging efficiently during daylight and supplying power consistently through the nights. We were able to keep essentials running, stay connected, and support our family without relying on noisy generators or scrambling for alternatives. It’s one thing to invest in solar storage for savings, but it’s another to truly experience energy independence when it matters most. This battery didn’t just perform—it delivered peace of mind when everything else was uncertain. I can’t recommend it highly enough.
Solaredge not robust enough for longer term outages

After a grid outage that lasted a couple of weeks, and failure of the backup system, I discovered that the system could not be reset until the grid was back on due to a software update being required. Solar Edge were on holidays, a Solahart electrician came to check but was unable to help as wifi was down. Solahart does not provide regular checks on the system (despite offering to pay) as they say it can all be monitored online. Due to that I have no idea if this happens again if another software update will be required before the system can be fixed again. After a recent outage I experienced a similar thing.

Solar panels work well when the grid is up and if there are temporary outages before the battery drains.

Inverter may shut down if the battery drains when the grid is down, if the software isn't updated it only reactivates when the grid is back on.
Battery - SolarEdge
It works fine when the grid is on but may not work during a prolonged grid outage of any more than 24h. The battery shuts down when it drains and if there is a software update needed will not repower the house when the sun starts shining again. It is mainly designed for short term outages of 2-3 hours, so due to recent weather events a more robust system is required.

Sales process was good, electrician excellent. The battery shuts down when it drains and will not repower the house when the sun starts shining again. It is only designed for short term outages of 2-3 hours, so due to recent weather events we will have try to trade this in to buy suitable off grid hybrid system that actually works during outages of more than about 24h.
