Did a lot of research and landed on this company for price and pre-sale engagement and info sharing. After installation the company continues to be customer focused. Pre and post sales service has been very good.

The only drawback with Sonnen is the power transfer limit of 2.5 kwh. Quality of product and service is very good.

The schedule was delayed due to supply issue. Installation and inspection went well. However the support is based in Queensland. IMO with a configurable system, it has minor issue with the vast difference with the weather patterns between Brisbane and Melbourne.
Solar Inverter - SolarEdge
Numerous issues with communication issue over the internet connection. The comms kept disconnected from time to time. This issue has since been resolved. I was informed by the manufacturer support that they have performed the OTA firmware update. Although settings of the solar / grid energy usage is possible and configurable, it cannot be done on the mobile app, but must be done by either the installer or the manufacturer. This has caused issues having lots of emails to communicate on the needed configurations as the installer support is based in Quuensland, SolarEdge support in NSW, and I am in Melbourne. It did get resolved but anytime I need to nmake changes, it would be raising a support ticket.
Battery - SolarEdge
Battery operations is good and the control is available via the MySolarEdge mobile app.
EV Charger - SolarEdge
Come with function to charge from solar or scheduled charging from grid. The later allowed charging according to Time of Use electricity plan, particularly the special late night EV charging rate. However, during the early days there were issue around charger communication and internet connection. The comms kept disconnected from time to time. This issue has since stopped, as I was informed by the manufacturer support that they have performed the OTA firmware update. Another note, if you have multiple EV at home, suggest to get the longest possible charginf cable, all the way to your driveway.

I had 3 company say they were coming to give me a quote I contacted solar gain and they were there the next day told me what they can do price and when they could do the job helped with all the paper work and all was done the next week So fantastic company and would recommend them 100%
