Technaus Solar Reviews

This is a review of work done about 9 years ago, Reference 5507. The Sales process seemed above board, but when pressed by me the salesman cited that the system would produce on average $300- per 2 month period, as we had shown our bills to him to be $320- he said our bill would be on average $20-, of course he went on to say that he couldn't put that into writing; the system's greatest ever return was $106- in a 2 month bill, so great disappointment her; further we were told in all of our discussions we insisted and were told that we were having a 5.4G Fronius inverter, this whole time I have thought that is what I got till a new company came only 2 weeks ago for a battery system quote and told me I have a 4G inverter, I couldn't believe it, I went to my contract and sure enough it said 4G, what a fool I was for not picking that up, we talked so much about it being a 5.4G inverter that I never looked at the contract. The installers were rude, a 17 year old was the lead installer, on completion he demanded full payment, citing that, that was in the contract and it was, he began brow beating me, when I looked at the contract I noticed mention of a Qualified Electrician as the installer, so I refused to pay until a qualified electrician had checked the installation, one came the next day, it was the father of this boy, he was much more professional with his communication, he did a few little tweaks and certified the installation and I paid. About a year later I was selected at random to be inspected by the 'Australian Government Clean Energy Regulator', guess what it was a dismal failure and Technaus Solar was issued with a detailed correction notice; I made 2 appointments with them to return and fix their faults but they never returned or called and I gave up in the end, I called the Regulator but they said they had no power to force them to make the corrections, in my opinion reading their recent reviews they seem to show a continued standard of poor practice as described here by me; check your contract, get other quotes, trust no-one.

They gave a good price, then once accepted, told me they had under quoted and wanted me to pay when the installer arrived on site. The installer did not ask for payment when he arrived, and did a good job of installation. To memory I paid the company that afternoon, after completion of the job.
