I paid the deposit in May 2025 and work was yet to start in November 2025. Three appointments starting at 24th July 2025 with nobody arriving. When an installer arrived in November, he wanted to install a different setup than was agreed to after I had an electrician alter my main fuse box.

I went with Green after they gave me the best customer service and a very competitive quote for a 26.6kWh AlphaESS Smile5 battery to be installed on a per-exisiting 4.6kWh solar panel system. From the initial contact with Basil from sales early August 2025 all the way till it was handed over to service, I had nothing but fantastic customer service from Basil albeit a couple of things were not mentioned to me till it was handed over to service. But I have to say, any time I called, my call was answered within a few seconds by Basil or another sales staff. Once my order was taken over by service, this is where the service and communication started going a bit south. Phone calls started going unanswered and had to leave a message or send an email for a call-back etc. One issue not mentioned from sales was of extra costs beyond the quote that could be charged if the distance between the switchboard and battery location is more than 15m that service made me aware of. This was also not in the terms in my contract. But Basil called me back and sincerely apologised for his oversight and assured me that they will wear the extra costs if there were any and gave that assurance in writing, which I highly appreciated. Due to that there was no need for a site inspection. Service also mentioned that because I'm in Victoria, an inspection must be performed by a government body post-install and I can't use it till that happens. This could take anywhere between a few days to at least 3 weeks. This was something else sales didn't mention but I was OK with that as I had already waited a few months so a few more weeks wasn't going to hurt. Roughly around 2 months later mid October, I got a phone call from service with a booking offer but I missed the call. It was followed up by an email which I responded by calling them. Took me several calls trying to call back the caller but ended up speaking with someone else. I accepted the booking offer for mid November install and they also confirmed it was an afternoon booking. On the day of the install, the installers arrived in the morning at 9am even though it was booked as an afternoon job. A bit annoying but no big deal, lucky I was home in the morning. After asking the lead installer why they came earlier than the booked time, he told me it was a morning booking. Another miss-communication? But they were here so I was happy about that. The installers were great, they asked me everything before they proceeded with anything and they did a clean job and cleaned up after themselves. It was a typical Melbourne day with 4 seasons in a day and at one stage it rained so heavy they had to get off the roof and take shelter in my carport. They eventually finished around 1pm, testing the batteries, connecting it to my wifi and then shutting it down for the inspector to come. I did ask the installer if they can show me how to use the app but he told me to contact Green and they'll help me. Which I'm still waiting (see below). They did however tell me they couldn't take the battery packaging because they had no facility or room to take with them. So I'm still stuck with 3 big boxes that I either have to organise a hard rubbish booking or chop them up in pieces to put in my recycle bin, which will take awhile. As it was close to Christmas I wasn't confident that the inspector was going to come this year as I was told by the installer that they were all busy this time of the year. But about 2 and half weeks later I got a text message at 10pm advising me the installer will be in my area the next day between 1pm and 4pm and to text YES if OK to book. Of course I texted YES asap, but half an hour later, they sent another message to say the day and time has changed to the day after for the morning this time between 9am and 12pm...lucky I was home those days. Inspector came around 9.30am, checked the switchboard, batteries and wiring etc. Took him about 20 minutes all up, switched it on and then went on his merry way. He emailed me the safety certificate half an hour later. All was good and I finally got to use the batteries. All up a fairly good experience with Green, albeit a few hiccups with their service department that Green might do well to address. Especially for their customers that are in different states other than NSW, where Green is based. I did have to call Green up for them to send post-install product documents, manuals etc, which they were supposed to send and they hadn't. In my contract they upgraded me to a 10 year warranty on the inverter, it's usually 5 years and they were supposed to send that warranty certificate to me post-install as well but they haven't. I had to call several times before I got through but had to go through their sales channel to get answered. They took my info to pass onto service which I am still waiting for them to call me back as I write this review. I also haven't been given any information on how to use the AlphaESS mobile app. I have it installed and setup an account but some of the terminology in the app is beyond me and I also asked Green to help me with that, which I was assured by sales they would do. Overall Green is great with their customer service by their sales department, but their service department needs some improvement IMO. I am looking at adding more panels to my existing system down the road to take it up to at least 10kWh but will I go with Green? I'm not sure to TBH. I think I might try someone local in Melbourne that has Melbourne knowledge next time. Biggest issue for me is getting through to customer service when you need it, especially if the system fails and you need them to look into it asap. Only time will tell if their after-sales service is as good as their sales service. Most companies know how to attract new customers but they fail at retaining them. The post-install inspection in Victoria is another frustrating thing which I understand Green has no control over and I am not criticizing them for. There is no way to contact the department and you just have to wait till they contact you, which is usually the night before they book you in and they also deal with you entirely via text messaging. So it's hard to organize to be home in advance, especially if you work and then they change the day and time on you as well. Victorian government seriously needs to improve that service, especially the customer service side.

Green install happy with it, local installers used after install was completed the owner of the business ran me through the system and how it operates, supplied me with contact details and on going support.

Ryan who handled the sale and information exchange was both nice and helpful The installers were punctual and definitely seemed to know what they were doing The installers alerted to me all issues and consulted during the job Haven't needed any follow up assistance as yet The battery App is excellent i got SMILE5-INV AlphaESS batteries They appear to be exactly what my two storey home needed I am 96.5% self sufficient with an EV and EV charger and pool pump to run

Initial sales guy was very helpful and sorted all the paperwork out (as well as took the deposit). However they were quick in taking my deposit and I’m still waiting for the installation 2 months after and every time I contact them to enquire about it I get told that someone will contact me shortly. Less than impressed. Have I lost my deposit or is the battery install still happening?? God knows…

Sales process dragged on a bit due to the distance between us. But the installers from Cootamundra were friendly, punctual and very efficient and helpful with the software download and the app tutorial was amazing.

The whole process was flawless. From start to finish, I spoke on the phone to several of the Green.com staff about my situation and they were all very knowledgeable and helpful. Unlike other companies who I obtained quotes from, they were upfront and very transparent about their fees and the associated government subsidies. I have had solar panels for over twenty years in two separate homes and, although I only purchased a home battery from Green.com, in my experience Green.com gave the best service at a very competitive price.

The team from Green.com.au was fantastic. Got a very competitive quote, discussed in details about the location so that install could proceed sucessfully. Solar battery installation went without hiccups until Inspector noticed a few changes required. This caused a bit of a headache to get it fixed but eventually all went well. I received all the neccesary documentation including the electrical certificate of completion.

After contacting Solar Choice and posting my job, I had three installers contact me immediately with a range of quotes (3 from each). After vetting each, I was extremely impressed with Green.com.au. I must note that ALL 3 installers had MANY 5 star reviews. Their combination of proven yet latest tech inventory, and great prices, was, in my mind, simply unbeatable. Their representative, Ryan, was knowledgeable, and very experienced. He already had all the answers to the questions I had. This filled me with confidence. Green .com.au sent a level two certified sparky. So professional and tradesman-like. Along with his two offsiders, had my 6.6kw Risen solar PV and Sungrow Hybrid Inverter in one full day. All wiring was placed in the roofspace, with only short vertical conduits visible outside to the inverter and isolators switches. About 5 weeks later, Oscar returned to install my batteries. Again, Sungrow 12.8kw LiFePo. (4 modules). This took only about 2.5 hours. Oscar also showed me how to use the Sungrow App to view my system's performance. All in all, I cannot recommend highly enough, using Solar Choice, and if in Metro Sydney, you must short list Green.cim.au for any solar / battery upgrades.

Service was great. The representative was easy to talk to and worked out pretty quickly just what I was needing for my home. Once he worked it out, he got all the balls rolling in the same direction and I was soon being contacted by the contractors to arrange times.

I needed some help with the app on my phone and they were very friendly and helpful. Over all I was very happy. The cost was less than I had expected and everything was delivered and done when they said it would be, except the inspection, which was done much earlier, which meant it was up and running the next day. The installers were very friendly and helpful. Over all I am totally happy with the results.

Green.com are a different level above the rest very professional with everything that did! Super happy

The service was excellent except for the points below: - I was told I could have 3 circuits backed up by the sales guys but the electrician said he would only do one - I sent photos and measurements for where the battery was to be installed and was agreed by company technical team but electrician said that wasn't allowed and another location had to be found on the day - The battery warranty was messy. Documents were out of date and contradicted each other. Sorted out with emails but not as per contract - Installation was neat except reflective signs used to level battery foot ( as packing / shim) so minor point of looking strange / ugly

I can highly recommend Green.com.au for solar panel and Battery installation. Coming off a poor outcome from another company I rang salesperson who had quoted some 3 months previously but was not chosen due to a smallish price difference only. He answered the phone calling me by name as he still had my name and number stored. That aside the cost difference was low enough for me to agree on the spot to sign up prior to refund from previous company. All went extremely well with contact maintained and installation within 2 months besides Christmas and Tesla Powerwall 3 availability. Local installer Thomas Maxwell had me hooked up in two days with inspection and switch on one day later. Well done Green.com.au

Sales discussed options and negotiated a great price. Appointment was booked and installer arrived on time and proceeded with the installation in a professional manner clearing up as he went. The use of the system and app were thoroughly explained. My switchboard was upgraded at no extra cost despite being not quoted in the initial quote.

Green.com.au (Teho) were very easy to deal with. I am from BST Group in Victoria and we wanted to try & do our bit for the environment. We had 5 other companies chasing our work and everyone of them were saying different things. Came across Solar Choice & they put us onto Teho, end of story. They worked efficiently and professionally, answered all the questions that we had, and at the end of the day they were on the money. A great flow right through from Sales to Operations & Installation not to mention follow-up. A great company to work with.

Green.com.au (Then Teho) was not my first choice of installer, but I was so impressed by their professionalism during the quoting process (not to mention they were cheaper) that I chose them instead. I'm glad I did - they were very responsive throughout the whole process and when we had issues with the system after install (it was tripping the breakers) they had an engineer remotely monitoring. As all new solar users do, I was keenly watching the app while at work and noticed the fault occur again - I opened my email to contact the company, and they had ALREADY reached out "Hi, we can see that this fault has occurred again - we're going to send a tech to investigate". Quickly and easily fixed and I haven't had a problem since - their after sales service has been excellent - all questions answered within a few hours.
