Impossible to take over ownership of a Tesla battery

We have just bought a property with a Tesla Powerwall 2 already installed. Try as we might it seems next to impossible to get ownership transferred to us. The previous owner has let the company know that he is no longer the owner. Minimal information online as to what to do; we have tried all suggestions. There is no phone helpline with Tesla and our emails are either ignored or answered with a generic response. So, we have a solar battery which may or may not be working and is impossible for us to manage or monitor.
