I purchased a solar battery and inverter package - fast instal, poor quality of workmanship.
I purchased a solar battery and inverter package from Adopt solar. Initially things went smoothly, they managed to get me an installation date quite quickly. However, after I paid the money owing (Had to pay before install), they have been very hard to get hold of. The contractors arrived on site and commenced install, and when they left the system was performing as expected. However the lack of care and attention to detail in the install was obvious when I had time to inspect the work. The install took a total of 2 hours. I raised my concerns with Adopt Solar, which were as follows- • Bollards not installed (Garage installation). • Missing contracted component: The Fox ESS Single Phase Smart Energy Meter (80A), which is listed as part of the contracted system, had not been installed. • Installation quality and safety: While the system was functioning, the overall presentation and finish fell well below what I expected. The High Voltage cables running from the inverter and the battery didn't have the required mechanical protection/cover, and were draped over the wall mount steel bracket of the battery. The cable routing is untidy and could have been completed with greater care. The inverter itself is also not level. • Mounting finish: The cement sheeting is damaged and poorly finished with large dirty marks on it. It looks reused, with broken edges and rough notching rather than being properly cut to size. There is also a significant overhang instead of finishing cleanly on the timber joists, which detracts from the overall installation quality. When I raised my concerns with Adopt Solar they replied, The smart meter is optional, and we do not charge any additional fees for it. Its installation depends entirely on the specific requirements of the property. In your case, it was assessed as not necessary, which is why it has not been installed. The minor edge damage to the cement sheet occurred during transportation. Please rest assured that this is only superficial and does not affect the performance, safety, or durability of the battery in any way. The installation has been carefully completed after considering your property layout, current solar generation, and potential future requirements to ensure the system operates effectively and remains scalable. I then replied to their email to reiterate what my concerns were, which related mainly to the quality of finish, workmanship and safety. Finishing with "Ultimately, this comes down to workmanship. The installation could have been laid out more neatly, with better cable management, appropriate mechanical protection, and greater attention to detail. These are not performance upgrades — they are matters of care, compliance, and professional pride. Is this the standard of workmanship Adopt Solar is comfortable delivering to its clients? If this system had been installed at your own home, would you be satisfied with the quality? I look forward to your response and to a constructive resolution." To which I have not received a response since sending a month ago.

Feed in rates were well below what I was led to believe from advertising etc. I have changed provider after 1 month.
SCAM - AVOID
SCAM - AVOID, I had an absolutely terrible experience with Adopt Solar & Battery regarding my battery installation. I paid $5,400 for a 42 kW Fox ESS battery, and it’s now been over two months — the installation still hasn’t been completed. After receiving full payment, they stopped responding completely (including Raymond from sales, Sophie from installation, installation team, and other support numbers given on their website). They ignore calls, emails, and messages, and even block customers once payment is made. When they finally came for installation, they charged extra on-site, which was never mentioned before. I later found out that my friend also paid $5,300 for the same system and has been waiting over a month with no progress — the exact same story. I’ve also come across multiple other complaints from customers facing the same issue. To make things worse, the company actually offered me initially $50 to post a fake 5-star review, which clearly shows that many of their positive reviews are paid or manipulated. That explains why the online feedback looks good, even though the real experience is completely opposite. It honestly feels like this company is scamming people with solar battery installations. I’m not sure about their solar panels, but with batteries, they take full payment upfront, delay endlessly, and disappear without completing the work. Please do your research and compare with other companies before dealing with them, and never pay upfront. There are genuine providers who communicate properly and deliver as promised. Avoid Adopt Solar & Battery at all costs — one of the worst experiences I’ve ever had.

It’s been over a month and my battery installation still isn’t completed. I paid $5,400 for a 42 kW Fox ESS battery, and after payment, the company completely stopped responding. They don’t answer calls or messages and seem to disappear once they receive the money. Please compare with other companies and brands before choosing this one — I’d honestly give zero stars if possible. Once you pay, you’ll never hear from them again.
Performance is excellent. They have done a good job.
