East Gippsland Solar was founded over 22 years ago by Grant Templar. During this time the company has been recognised for their dedication in solar power sales and installations, by winning various “Australian Solar State Sales Awards”, for South Australia, Victoria, and Tasmania.
The reason for this is, we do not compromise on the quality, in both the solar products we use and installations as well as our attention to detail of high standards in our workmanship.

THANKYOU EAST GIPPSLAND SOLAR!!!! AMAZING SERVICE! Very friendly and flexible staff. Highly recommend this company for the install, maintenance and any other issues/questions you have about solar panels, batteries and hot water services. I had both a Solar system and Hot water removed and replaced with new systems due to the others being in a really bad state. The initial quote was better than even the mainstream companies, but I knew that the install by East Gippsland Solar would be done by their own installers, not subcontracted out… and I also knew that they have been around for ages and not just one of those companies that disappear and you’re left with a non supported system. The install time was flexible and they were very professional and clean. Both whole system installs look amazing and they arranged a full refit of my circuit breaker box too. I also had issues with the power grid company, but East Gippsland Solar sorted all this out. They were also happy for any follow up calls for questions we had. THANKYOU EAST GIPPSLAND SOLAR!!!!!!!!
Solar Inverter - SolarEdge
The inverter had one issues to date when the grid decided to flick power on and off about 12 times, but this was sorted out through East Gippsland Solar very quickly, remotely. SolarEdge also remotely downloaded the data and found out what the issues were and did a firmware update to fix it. The app is easy to follow and use also.
Battery - SolarEdge
The complete system works well together, and the performance has been great for us. The app is great to follow along with the power being used, backup power and grid power. I love it.
Heat Pump - Reclaim Energy
Have had no issues. Unknown the power it uses, as the solar outperforms it. We always have hot water. It just works hard in the background and have had no problems.

Review left 10 years after system installed
Used these guys to install a solar system with battery and a solar hot water system at mums place post her bushfire rebuild. We had the inverter fail in July and here I am in September with no fix. The manufacturer has supplied eg solar with a replacement over a month ago but whiles I have had two commitments to come and fix both of these have been missed with no communication - until I reach out and enquire as to what's going on. At this point I've not been able to secure a commitment as to when they will honour their warranty obligations. I've been forced to reach out to consumer affairs today and will probably end up in VCAT unless these guys pull their thumbs out and actually do the right thing.
Solar Inverter - SolarEdge
It's failed and installer is not coming out to fix even though they have been supply with a new unit by solare edge.
