The sales process was quite pushy—nothing entirely unexpected—but we decided to go ahead with them. Before leaving the country, we confirmed that they would remove the old system and install the new one. They gave us a rough timeline and we told them when we would be out of the country, so we agreed they would slot us in after we got back from our holiday. While we were overseas, they arrived and installed the system, insisting to our 80-year-old house sitters that everything had been pre-arranged. Shortly afterward, they began hassling us for payment, despite knowing we were out of the country and hadn’t even seen the installation. The moment we landed back home, we started receiving threats of legal action and my wife was verbally abused over the phone while we were still sitting on the tarmac. During the sales discussions, we had clearly talked about them removing the old system, but they later denied this and claimed we had agreed to handle it ourselves (I have no means to do this so I certainly did not agree). After some heated back-and-forth, we reluctantly agreed to pay, based on their renewed promise to remove the old system. Unfortunately, I made the mistake of paying before they returned to complete that work. Once I mentioned that I planned to post an honest review of our experience, their tone became openly hostile. They threatened defamation action, broke multiple promises, and continued to make excuses without ever coming back to collect the old system. When we later had issues with the hot water and Wi-Fi, they dismissed our concerns and took no responsibility. There has been absolutely no after-sales service or support.

Pushy sales pitch Promised a set up and did not deliver to agreed specifications. 1. Hybrid inverter not installed. Instead used a lesser one, which is not hybrid. 2. Hot water timer not installed. 3. Did not send paper work for a smart meter to be installed, meaning my system was left spinning the old disc meter backwards for 4 months before essential energy arrived to sort it out. 4. Energy company then had to charge me on an estimate bill, for which they had no data, as i had only just had my solar installed. Tried to ask for assistance on many occasions from pure nation solar, no response. Just ignored my emails. Blamed the energy company for the issue with the smart meter, blamed the electrician for hot water switch. Extremely disappointed.

We purchased a fully off-grid system (Soltaro brand as that was all Purenation solar offered). The product itself is not suitable for full off grid. The inverter broke within 1 year of use. Purenation solar made themselves unavailable for after install service, though they are required to by law. They strung us along, and openly lied on the phone multiple times. We sought legal advice but of course, the energy ombudsman is not able to enforce anything. Now we hear that the company has gone out of business. We have had to pursue inverter replacement directly via the manufacturer (Soltaro). Which is not without its issues. Though they did eventually send us a replacement. However now, we are having difficulty finding an electrician to install the replacement as they won't touch it due to the 5 year rule. We are regional and if we had of known these issues prior, we would not have bothered to go solar. Avoid this company at all costs.

Sam was fantastic in explaining how solar works and setting up the whole process. Millie in the office answered all my questions and got back to me promptly and Mitch the installer called throughout the installation as I was at work. Couldn't be more happier and highly recommend this company.
