Unfortunately Max promised us everything at the start and that all ended up being just hot air that ourt newly installed heat pump doesn’t provide. max would make all sorts of excuses as to why it wasnt working even claiming that the manufacturer designed the system wrong. after getting stick of having no heat in the tasmanian winter and having max constantly blaming everything else but himself i had to contact another company who had the system that max provided and semi installed running correctly in about 15 minutes. turns out max had not installed the system correctly and if he followed the installation manual correctly it would have worked fine. perhaps if you need to put a gps tracker on your ex partners car to stalk her max is the man to see but not for the heat pump installation.

Unfortunately we didn’t find out about how untrustworthy and seedy this man is until it was too late. After doing the installation Max was paid and then he packed up and left. 3 days later after some light rain we had a number of leaks in the roof and then our solar panel connections became waterlogged at stopped working. The system went into ‘protection mode’ and would. no longer work. Max blamed everything else but him self and was full of excuses. he came back 3 times and was still unable to rectify the problem. We ended up calling another installer and they found multiple problems such as screws missing. the wrong sealant type used. incorrect pipe sizes. A google of his name revealed his true colours. As far as i’m concerned sunsmart energy tasmania is a sham and will not back their product or install Avoid at all costs

Fantastic install. The only company that actually came and did a site visit and measurement of the installation area. Efficient, knowledgeable and local. First class experienced tradesman.
