SunSmart Sunshine Coast installed my rooftop PV system four year’s ago and that experience was excellent. Since then I have reached out several times for advice on the viability of a battery. Matt was generous with his time and expertise regarding current options and importantly for me, green loan and rebate information. I sought several quotes when time came to purchase a battery but SunSmart was priced comparably with other established installers. They were available to talk to when the inevitable questions came up in the decision making phase. When the first experience was so good, for mine, they were the logical choice for a battery. Josh did a site visit to confirm my preferred battery location was achievable and even though more complex than typical, everything went smoothly. Callum (along with capable help), installed the battery (as well as the PV back in March, 2020) and I couldn’t be happier with his professionalism, attention to detail and workmanship. The install was beautifully square, plumb and level and even though I upgraded from 2 x 5 kw inverters to 1 x 10 kw inverter on the same day, the number of visible holes in the wall afterwards were cleverly minimised. A trustworthy and professional team that I highly recommend to anybody thinking about getting solar.

Great experience, great advice. John from the customer care team was amazing, kept in touch over the months, willing to answer any questions we had and re quote when we were ready to proceed. The install went quickly and smoothly, no issues, cleaned up after themselves and explained how to use the app to monitor usage. Very impressed with service. Received a courtesy call the day before and the staff arrived on time at 7.30am and were very friendly and polite. The job was complete by 11am. We did have issues with logging into Fronius inverter but Hamish stayed behind and sorted it out. Very satisfied with service and staff attitude right from our first contact with Matthew Snell who sent our quotes promptly and was very helpful with our inquiries.

Being new to Australia, we knew very little about the solar world. It came apparent very quickly that if you can't recognise the cowboys or suppliers who are in in for a quick buck, you could be in some serious strife. From the begin to the end and the aftersales service from SunSmart has been above par. Service, value for money, ease of install, all boxes were ticked. I am a firm believer in giving credit where credit is due and would have no hesitation in giving a glowing recommendation. Well done team, keep up the great work.

From start to finish SunSmart Sunshine Coast proved to be a professional and great company to deal with. The initial site survey by Josh was very thorough and he explained everything to me clearly and in detail. The resultant quote was very detailed (unlike some others) and Josh was able to answer all of my questions and put my mind at rest on all of my concerns. The service provided by Matt in the office was exceptional, even responding to an email I sent over the Easter break within 5 minutes to address an issue we had (which tuned out not to be related to the work they did). Matt’s patience with my questions and concerns was impressive! On the day of installation the installers Zeb, Lachlan and Liam turned up on time, introduced themselves and explained how the install would play out. They worked professionally and efficiently finishing at the estimated time. I was impressed with the work they carried out, everything was neat and tidy and the site was spotless (they cleaned up everything). The only delay was due to the number of questions I had for them during the handover and the detailed explanation they gave me about the installation and how it all works. Since the install the support has been exceptional with very fast responses to my questions and concerns. I would have no hesitation in recommending Josh and his crew at SunSmart SC considering a solar or battery installation.

Customer service was overall very poor. I found the point of contact very pushy and abrupt to deal with. The system only makes about 10kwh energy daily but originally was predicted to make at least 40kwh daily for this time of year. They changed the panel layout without consent also and have been trying to get me to sign an updated panel layout post install.
