We have had quotes from several companies and listened to all the sales presentations and just didn't like people that we talked to. They were all about getting the sale and not about what we want the system to do for us and our expectations. Then we called Josh at SunSmart Sunshine Coast. They are Electrician's that specialise in solar. From first contact to completion of the installation, it was personally professional and courteous. Josh, who came and gave us the quote, explained everything in a way that made sense instead of the same generic explanations the other companies used. He was the only one that actually got up and measured the roof! Jayden and Peter did the installation. They were on time ,very courteous, didn't play loud music and yahoo like some others we have heard close by. They got on with the job and left no mess behind. Handover was made simple. Can't forget Callum who organises all the bookings, payment and is available to answer any questions you might have. Just the best company to deal with. HIGHLY RECOMMEND.

SunSmart SC fitted our Hybrid Solar System with batteries a month ago east of Gympie. We were nervous about making the right choice on selecting from 3 different companies quotes, 2 from local area, and then SunSmart who are just outside our local area. In the end we feel we have made the very best decision to use SunSmart. Right from the initial enquiry we have felt we have been given comprehensive, accurate and easy to understand information. Matt was so friendly, very patient and spent a lot of time helping us to understand the terminology, the setup, and the workability of solar & batteries. He professionally and knowledgeably addressed some previous information that we had been given that we now realise was inaccurate, and options that would have cost more but delivered less, and that would have seen us be disappointed in our solar journey. After asking questions on our power usage, our household setup, how & when we use power and our expectations for our solar, he promptly designed & quoted a plan that he felt would work best for us. We were really blow away by Matts knowledge of everything solar. Callum was a joy to deal with when he did the preinstall inspection, providing us more detailed information on the how’s & where’s. He is a very knowledgeable tradesman who made us understand how the install & the product would work on our home & with our situation. After hounding these poor guys with questions that they promptly & patiently took time to answer, with minimal delay came installation day. Callum, Josh, Harry and their team of boys worked quickly, carefully & constantly to install our set up. Each one of this team were super professional, very polite & respectful, paid attention to detail and we could see by how they worked that they took pride in a job well done. The after install follow up & help has been excellent. Nothing has been to much trouble. Matt made sure we felt very comfortable using the Solar App and continues to support us with suggestions & information. We are high energy users, averaging over $300 per month ($4000 pa) in the last year, care for an elderly parent that needs consistent temperature, and live rural area that gets many blackouts. We now are in credit with AGL, can provide better care for Dad without worrying about growing energy bills, and now with our Hybrid Inverter & Battery setup we (& more importantly Dad) no longer have worry about those annoying blackouts. We cannot recommend and thank this reliable, honest and professional local company highly enough. We would give SunSmart SC 10 stars if we could.

Callum attended on all occasions and was superb. He was able to secure us a new inverter under the warranty and saved us the expense of buying a new system. Nothing was too hard and I would recommend them to anyone.

After realising my Solar edge was not working and my original installer had gone bust, I emailed SunSmart. Callum from SunSmart came out after a couple of days and advised the inverter had failed. He contacted solaredge and arranged a replacement under warranty. When he received it he came and installed the whole brand new system at a time that suited me. After a few hiccups, my solar system is up and running. Callum was very professional, courteous and went above and beyond in getting my system running. SunSmart Sunshine Coast installed our 21.1kW Solar array using REC solar panels with 15kW Huawei Inverters and 30kW of Huawei Luna batteries with Back Up Emergency Power Supply. We have had the system now for over 2 years and couldn't be Happier. The whole experience from start to finish was second to none. We have had a couple of minor issues since Instalation and the after sales service received was not only immediate but also first class. We can not rate SunSmart SC highly enough and we recommend Matt and his team to everyone.

I had an excellent experience with Sunsmart. Josh visited my site to explain how everything would work and analyse the possibilities for solar panels and inverter installation. I was introduced to Sunsmart by a Solar technician that I trusted, who had changed to FIFO work. Every interaction has been excellent the planning and groundwork done before installation was above and beyond. I had recently purchased a house that was 12 mths old 3 mths before installing Solar. The provider sent Sunsmart on an absolute, firstly that power was not connected to my address secondly that my meter was at a property 2 kms away. I did not have the time or know how to fix this frustrating situation. Matts patience and expertise solved all the problems to convince providers of connected power. The support since has been unbelievable, being a novice Matt has clearly and professionally guided me through updates and assisted when I have made errors with the system. Seemingly always available to answer what must be silly repetitive questions to a person of his competence.

SunSmart Sunshine Coast installed my rooftop PV system four year’s ago and that experience was excellent. Since then I have reached out several times for advice on the viability of a battery. Matt was generous with his time and expertise regarding current options and importantly for me, green loan and rebate information. I sought several quotes when time came to purchase a battery but SunSmart was priced comparably with other established installers. They were available to talk to when the inevitable questions came up in the decision making phase. When the first experience was so good, for mine, they were the logical choice for a battery. Josh did a site visit to confirm my preferred battery location was achievable and even though more complex than typical, everything went smoothly. Callum (along with capable help), installed the battery (as well as the PV back in March, 2020) and I couldn’t be happier with his professionalism, attention to detail and workmanship. The install was beautifully square, plumb and level and even though I upgraded from 2 x 5 kw inverters to 1 x 10 kw inverter on the same day, the number of visible holes in the wall afterwards were cleverly minimised. A trustworthy and professional team that I highly recommend to anybody thinking about getting solar.

Very impressed with service. Received a courtesy call the day before and the staff arrived on time at 7.30am and were very friendly and polite. The job was complete by 11am. We did have issues with logging into Fronius inverter but Hamish stayed behind and sorted it out. Very satisfied with service and staff attitude right from our first contact with Matthew Snell who sent our quotes promptly and was very helpful with our inquiries.

Being new to Australia, we knew very little about the solar world. It came apparent very quickly that if you can't recognise the cowboys or suppliers who are in in for a quick buck, you could be in some serious strife. From the begin to the end and the aftersales service from SunSmart has been above par. Service, value for money, ease of install, all boxes were ticked. From start to finish SunSmart Sunshine Coast proved to be a professional and great company to deal with. The initial site survey by Josh was very thorough and he explained everything to me clearly and in detail. The resultant quote was very detailed (unlike some others) and Josh was able to answer all of my questions and put my mind at rest on all of my concerns. The service provided by Matt in the office was exceptional, even responding to an email I sent over the Easter break within 5 minutes to address an issue we had (which tuned out not to be related to the work they did). Matt’s patience with my questions and concerns was impressive! On the day of installation the installers Zeb, Lachlan and Liam turned up on time, introduced themselves and explained how the install would play out. They worked professionally and efficiently finishing at the estimated time. I was impressed with the work they carried out, everything was neat and tidy and the site was spotless (they cleaned up everything). The only delay was due to the number of questions I had for them during the handover and the detailed explanation they gave me about the installation and how it all works. Since the install the support has been exceptional with very fast responses to my questions and concerns. I would have no hesitation in recommending Josh and his crew at SunSmart SC considering a solar or battery installation.

Customer service was overall very poor. I found the point of contact very pushy and abrupt to deal with. The system only makes about 10kwh energy daily but originally was predicted to make at least 40kwh daily for this time of year. They changed the panel layout without consent also and have been trying to get me to sign an updated panel layout post install.
