Solar Battery Group were great to deal with. Worked through the process well and step by step, continued to move through to installation of our battery without any hold ups. Glad we took the leap and went ahead with investing in a battery for our solar system.

I received a text and then a phone call from the installers prior to their arrival. They explained the process and timeline on arrival. They cleared up as the progressed and left the site very clean. They explained the process going forward. They did an excellent job!

The Installers were late but let me know and installation occurred without any issues and they tidied up after their work was complete. This is my installation was for my second batteries doubling my batteries capacity. I am just awaiting an assessment scheduled for next week regarding the Commonwealth Rebate so unfortunately had to turn the second batteries off...I was guided through this process.

The contact with The Solar Battery group was very positive and we were kept apprised of the process with excellent communication. The installation company were friendly and Joel (the electrician) was very thorough. As we have had 3 batteries installed he was very keen for the aesthetics to be evident and did a great job .We have not needed any post installation support but it was certainly offered to us.

I was pushed into installing an extra 5.1Kw battery in June, I wanted to wait until July when the solar rebate kicked in. I paid for the battery in June minus the rebate which they said I could do. When installed by very friendly and helpful installers the battery was either faulty or they wouldn't switch it on until 1July, I was given both reasons for the battery not working. Whichever excuse is correct it is still not operating and it is now 12 July.

The sales person I spoke to in the first place was polite and explained all about the system and its installation. the electricians who installed it were efficient, explained its use and then cleaned up. I was very happy with the whole process of purchasing and installing the battery. So pleased that I had a second one installed a few weeks later.

Installation was trouble free and on time. I would appreciate some assistance with the efficient Mangement of my system and better accessible diagnostics

All in all I am more than happy with the outcome of the battery installed. When I finish my loan I am looking forward of adding 5KW more.

Solar Battery Group provided all of the information I required, including two separate quotes for two distinctly different alternatives. Their team was efficient and the two extra batteries I had ordered were installed within a few weeks. We are now almost off grid every day, with just a few days in the year where we need a little from the grid. Awesome service.

The technicians were knowledgeable, friendly and very helpful. The post-installation support was also very forth coming with information and cleared up some miss conceptions that I had.

Generally a good process. Installation seemed smooth but haven’t had a visit from the inspector yet so the battery is still not operational!

Sales experience went smoothly and I was contacted by a consultant promptly when expected. Conversations were pleasant and informative. Happy we were offered an interest free payment plan which helped us proceeding with the installation. Installation also had no problems and the installers did an efficient and clean job. We have had no need for post installation support everything is running as it should and we look forward to receiving lower energy bills.

I have just received my first electricity bill and I couldn’t believe it It was so small and this was after the pricing has increased So thank you for the time your sales people spent on explaining everything to me It will make a huge financial difference to my future

Battery works great, on sunny days my electricity usage cost over 24 hours is $0. So everything is good , except for the helpdesk/switchboard which is useless. You get a message saying the queue is full or whatever, leave your number after the tone for a call back. They NEVER call back. Theres clearly not enough operatives for the level of demand. If by some statistical anomaly you do get through, ( i.e by ringing at exactly 9 am )the staff are knowledgeable and friendly, and pretty much always resolve the issue. PS. when assessing the quote just know that safety bollards will probably need to be installed at a cost of $500. This is not always apparent from the quote. This is the same for all brands so doesn't affect relative costs , but is an additional outlay.

The sales process was informative so we could make an educated decision on whether this was the right thing for us. The installers were impeccable with the overall approach to the task and the finished result was great. The battery was placed in the place we wanted. The installers needed to get into a tight spot to install the cables and they did this without complaint or shortcuts.

The initial sales process was ok, then we hit the Sausage factory once they had our money and commitment the customer service went out the window.

Installer was very efficient and fitted them very promptly. My gas usage has been reduced after the heat pump was installed and my electricity charges have reduced quite a lot since installation of the additional batteries - thanks to the Solar Battery Group.

I had my first battery installed a few months back and was pretty happy with it. I wanted to avail myself of the rebates on offer and my best option was to increase my storage from 5.1 to 15.3 kw/h. Big step up but should be worth it. The whole process was seamless and I have no problems in thanking and recommending Solar Battery Group.

Had two battery installations put in. By two different contractors. Both were extremely good and competent. I am more than happy with the way they were installed and how the Solar Battery Group managed the whole process.

The sale was quick, and the install happened within weeks. The installers were young guys who were courteous and polite and who were aware a child was in the house so kept their voices at a respectful level. The new panels have pushed more power to the now bigger battery and we are actually selling to the grid for the first time in years.

The installers were great, but it took a month to get the battery installed. We have no manual and we can't get the app to connect - we gather it has to be paired to the phone. Still the sales pressure was minimal, the installers were quietly efficient and we assume that the battery is fully operational. Certainly we have some green lights....

Sales progress was smooth, Installers right on time, tidy and efficient. Post installation support: Needed explanations as to why three batteries could be fully charged, but now, with a fourth battery installed, system will not charge them fully. Seems that the amount of solar panels are insufficient and do not produce enough electricity to fully charge all 4 batteries. Obviously, I did not do sufficient and diligent research into this issue before having the 4th battery installed.

I will be very happy once my battery is turned on. We had to wait until July to receive govt handout and I'm sure your teams have lots to do in more populated areas but have had no indication when someone will turn up to do mine. Installed April 10th 2025

Friendly staff, professional work, but had some problems which were timely fixed, the battery system has since been excellent.

The sales process went very well. The installers were very punctual and on time. They were very quick to install the secondary battery. All went very smooth on the day of the installation. I would recommend them very highly.

Installation was good. We had to speak with 2 different staff members before we found out that why only part of our solar energy was charging the battery, the rest going into the grid. The battery has a limit on how much can go into it while charging.

A great service with the added bonus of a great team. The process was smooth and efficient. Installation of the batteries was completed quickly and I was kept up to date during the whole process; when power would be cut, for how long and when the power would be turned back on. I was shown how to shut down the batteries in very clear and easy to understand steps. I cannot recommend the Solar Battery Group enough if you are in the market to get a solar battery for your house.

Phone sales proceeded smoothly, and we decided to enhance our AlphaEss system by adding an additional 5Kw battery. Initially, during our first sales and installation experience with SBG, they recommended a 3.5Kw system, which did not meet our needs for a larger capacity. Although SBG eventually offered the AlphaEss 5Kw system, they did not present other available options at that time, which would have been beneficial to know. A year and a half later, we contacted SBG for a second battery, and they provided a reasonable price for it, although we did not receive a government grant for this purchase. Throughout both interactions, we found the sales staff to be helpful and eager to assist. The installation team was punctual, polite, and efficient, readily addressing any questions we had. We have not needed any post-installation support; however, I did log an issue through the AlphaEss app, and they responded promptly. Overall, our experience with SBG has been positive, marked by effective communication and reliable service.

The sales person was excellent he explained in detail about the battery the cost and when to expect it to be delivered.The installers notified me when they were going to arrive the day before and arrived on time They were friendly and informative and tidied up after the had finished. Would not hesitate to recommend the company the installers and the call to find out if I was happy with it all.

The installation was very good. Same team did our panels. Contacting the company was difficult, but I believe they are getting more staff. We got the blackout pack installed after the batteries. Living in a regional town meant waiting for other local installations so they could be done on the same day. Understandable.

Overall very happy with our experience. Doing what we paid for. The fitters were very nice and friendly but did crack the safety sign that was fitted to the brick work.

Installation good but waited 7 weeks before inspected and had to keep asking for this to happen our usage and bill has not changed which is disappointing

The battery is good, but the system that you pay for it on is not good when you first start. that could have been me though.

Everything so far has been great. Still need to have the meters replaced ( two different ones) set to be turned on late July. Great to deal with

I have been happy with the company even with there was a problem I was notified and put through the process to rectify it. I have 2 batteries and they are sufficient for me as I live alone. These batteries have saved my money on a pension that is also a help. Regards Larry Roberts

The installation was done very quickly and it is working well we now use average less than one kw per day.

I was originally getting a SMILE-B3-PLUS battery. That's what I agreed to on 8 April 2025 after to/fro discussions including deciding to cancel at one point due to need for Post in narrow driveway. On installation day, after battery had been installed, I realised it had been changed to an Eveready. That's the first I was aware. When I rang, the advice was that was mentioned when negotiations were in progress. I certainly don't recall that being mentioned and paperwork was only updated to reflect that on installation day and NOT before. Also I made it very clear about the long cabling run required, yet was still asked to pay extra for this on the day, despite an extra allowance in the original quote. This was very poor. I could have been in my rights to refuse this. After much time researching the Eveready battery, I concluded it wasn't substantially different from the one promised but still not happy about not being clearly made aware of the change and having to spend my time researching the battery supplied. Apart from the above, the installation was good and the earlier negotiations were good. It's a shame in your eagerness to finalise the sale, that the above 2 items were not managed properly. It certainly gave me some stress and unhappiness

Battery still to be tested, turned on. Fire alarm has been beeping since 27th June, suggested solution has not worked.

This is effectively filtering the company's internally monitored performance and potentially elevating the componany's customer satisfaction record for marketing, funding or like avenues of benefit. I am not quite sure where to take this observation at the moment but I am considering my options ...... The above issue has really annoyed me as I wished to score the business a "2" in relation to the perceived current level of service to enquiries by your customer service team where the context is below: I have called Solar Battery Group (SBG) 4 times in past last week regarding the commissioning of my final battery install to the existing SBG system. I have left my phone number when prompted for a callback. There have been no return calls by SBG to date. This is appalling. The whole process was very efficient and friendly throughout they thoroughly explained everything about the system, the product, the rebates available and the installation was very well done. Staff were polite and knowledgeable and arrived within the time stated.

Great experience from the outset with the sales rep who was professional, very knowledgeable and not pushy! Battery was installed quickly with no fuss and has worked great. One slight issue with the wifi dongle but that was fixed quickly when I raised it with the team. Very happy!

We had a very positive experience with Solar Choice when we recently had a battery installed. The sales team was excellent, providing us with a clear breakdown of the costs and outlining everything that would be included upfront. They also helped us determine which battery would best suit our needs. The installers arrived on time, were friendly and helpful, and left the space clean and tidy, which we greatly appreciated.

I am extremely disappointed with the solar battery group’s lack of punctuality and professionalism. They schedule an appointment, but consistently fail to show up at the agreed time — or sometimes don’t show up at all. We have taken time off work specifically to be available for their visit, only to be left waiting and frustrated. This kind of unreliability is unacceptable, especially when customers rearrange their schedules to accommodate them. I would caution anyone considering their service to think twice, as their tardiness causes unnecessary stress and wasted time. Very poor customer service overall

I had purchase two battles from them no problems then the two battery was not large enough for life support they rang me to add another battery. Originally without checking site they told battery would fit in garage . Wrong.! I allowed it to put in as installers here. When it cane to second battery. So much drama I cancelled the order. Not willing to talk to strata over phone. Past from pillar to post no one cared enough to solve Problem. So get another quote from reputable company. Someone who cares about customer service not solar battery group

bought a house with a Alpha ESS battery. was working fine. battery stopped working so i contacted Alpha ESS through the app and they assigned Battery Solar Group. Six weeks in they still haven't even visited the sight. its like waiting for carpet to grow. i will be contacting ACCC soon.

Beware, sales people. said I'd only to pay $1800.00 total installed 10kw system. I was told to quickly put a deposit being $350.00 to ensure a placement, then they ask me to book an inspection time and quickly send a progress payment for another $1743.20and wait for it , a third final payment 435.80 when completed. Sadly ,the total is $700.00 more than our phone agreement ........... this is Fraud...Give me back my 350.00 or correct the quotation...........

I had a battery system installed and it quite simply didn't work. 5 weeks on, multiple calls and emails and it still doesn't work and I'm trying to get a refund. I'd suggest going anywhere else

Installers were good but bad product and battery only lasts just over 5 years. Then you can’t fix, you must buy another battery. Get another brand that works better.

I got the marketing letter for a battery. I called them and they said I needed a review of my system to find out if it is compatible for a battery. As I already knew that my system is compatible, I said so. They responded with "What did you call for then?". Seems like they only wanted to sell me the "review of my system", so I asked to be removed from their marketing list. Confirms the other reviews, including the positive one. They are a marketing company adding their premium to the local installer you could employ yourself, just like the Modern Group. One to avoid.

Unfortunately I have not had a good experience with this company. The installers were external contractors from sage electrical, the two workers were nice but their boss was rude and disrespectful and constantly made sarcastic comments. They rushed the job and left without proper testing. I monitored the battery carefully using the mobile app for the next two days only to realise that the battery would not go past 70% charge. I contacted Solar Battery Group who guided me through some technical troubleshooting and they concluded that the battery was not installed correctly. They advised me that someone would need to come out and fix the issue and I would receive a phone call from the installers. So far, it has been 1 week and I have received nothing, despite multiple follow up calls with SBG. Basically once they receive their money the after sales support is terrible and I am left with a half functioning battery. To top it off, they charge $699 for a 5 year maintenance plan which seems like it has zero value. Based on this experience, I do not recommend this company at all. They are clearly focused on quantity over quality and seem unconcerned with fixing their mistakes.

They sent a letter saying best price guaranteed on a battery. "dont pay $10,000 on a basic battery" Pay $2999 This is a 3kWh battery, next to useless and expensive for that price. Dont be fooled, This is another scam.

We paid $350 deposit, as we trusted advertasement of "50% off market price". Later we realised that advertisement was misleading as the prices were the same as others. For 2 months we cannot receive our $350 deposit back. Solar Battery Group simply ignores our emails and demunds for return of deposit! Be careful. They are Not trustworthy! We will engage ACCC.

Paid a deposit of $350 for a battery feasibility report. Payback ended up being too long (8.5 years) Decided not to proceed. Trying to get money back as agreed in writing I would if I decided not to proceed. Leaving several phone messages and emailed them with no response. No human even picks up the phone. I’ll chase them with the ACCC.

WARNING - DO NOT DEAL WITH The Solar Battery Group. They do not install what they sell you over the phone. SBG string you along with 'solutions' that amount to nothing. SBG won't refund and I am still waiting for the system I paid for after the SBG attempted install a deficient battery system on to me. Warning, many buyers might find their system does not perform as the SBG claimed.

I already had 2 solar systems but lacked a battery. My search was for a good battery supplier.
