APsystems 30kWh Batter
Solarever installers were flexible on timing and managed to squeeze me in before the rebate changes of 2026. The lead installer called me the day before to confirm the batteries and inverter had been delivered and to set a time for the install. The install and commissioning was done by a team of three on Christmas Eve. They also showed me how to set up and use the app as well as the backup system.
Battery - APsystems
I’ve been very happy with the APsystems battery since the install. The technicians were able to find a suitable location for it considering the limited options on my property and batteries look good in the sandwich configuration. Max input/output of the battery is about 5kW/h so is enough to fully power the house pretty with near zero draw from the grid. APsystems Support continued to monitor the battery operation over days following installation and reached out to me when they observed unusual spikes in consumption. They even provided recommendations on electricity plans and advice on how to maximise the value in the system to reduce the payoff period. The app is great and gives me good real-time data on solar and grid inputs and household energy usage that I didn’t previously have. Easy to change settings to adjust specific charge/discharge timings.
APStorage Installation
The installers were great, they know what to do and was ontime. Everything smoothly, helped setup my app.
Battery - APsystems
The batteries look great and slim. It allowed me to put them on the side of the house without blocking the laneway which is important. I didn't want to put the batteries in the garage as it needs bollard which blocks my cars. Since I already had solar, this was just retrofitted to my house with no issues. It didn't matter what PV brand I had which is great, the APSystem app allowed me to monitor the PV data as well, so i don't need to view my Sungrow app seperately. Installed for 3 months, no issues so far, the backup triggered once when there was a planned outage, which was nice to see.
EV Charger -
I have to use a 3rd party app, or the car inbuild system to change the charge limit. but otherwise it was good since it was free from ZEEKR.
Virtual Power Plant - Globird ZEROHERO
The APstorage allowed me to use advanced settings to charge and discharge at different times, to take advantage of the Globird ZEROHERO offer. I can charge my battery for free (or top up) between 11am to 2pm, the rest of the day I'm using free energy from the sun and the battery bank. Only thing I am paying is the supply charge, but if I don't use power from the grid between 6pm to 8pm, they give me $1 per day which kind of cancel out the supply charge.
