In my research, all companies fell into two distinct categories: "cheap" ones that use 3rd party installers (but design themselves) and "expensive" ones that do installation themselves. In my case, the price difference was above 30% (after rebates but before loans). My system was fairly trivial (simple roof, no shade, etc.), so I reckoned anyone should be able to do it, and went with the better one from the "cheap" group, which was Sunline. Being an engineer myself, I gauged "betterness" of the company by the competence of their technical staff I could get through. Of the 6-7 shortlisted companies, only in 2 I could speak to a qualified engineer who could explain some things to my satisfaction, and with whom I could discuss detailed installation options in real time. Sunline was one of them. However, installation was far from smooth, which I half expected. Without going into details, the first team appeared blatantly incompetent and not caring, and in the end packed up and left. But, another team was organised in a week or so, and they were much better. They easily did what the first team refused to do (relates to panels alignment), deeming it was too complicated. In the end, it all worked fine. There were some paperwork delays with rebates due to this mess-up, and some confusion around payment, but it was all resolved amicably. The worst offender was Jemena (the distributor) who took more than a month to reprogram the meter.

I guess all panels in this range are similar. Too early to tell. I choose these ones mostly for the convenient power output (actually, slightly less than most others), which made an even number of panels in my case (18, instead of 17 with other similar brands). Also, they have black bezel, which looks better than silver.

I consciously choose an expensive inverter (but I had no need for sophisticated one). This is a critical component, and I wanted to have open access to it with reliable API and known protocol (so that I could gather statistics independently, without 3rd-party tools). But this may not matter for most. Fronius Primo is clearly a well-designed unit with enough customisation, which is pleasure to work on, and which worked flawlessly so far (1.5+ years). The only thing that the users should be conscious about: it has a fan, which can get appreciably noisy when the power output is close to maximum. (It will be practically silent at night and most times in winter). Don't install it next to windows and doors, if possible.

Access to the double story roof was confined but the team started and finished within about 5 hours. Everything about the process was communicated to me very well. Sunline sales team kept in contact with me at all times from the initial request for a quote until certicgication of the system. . At this pont in time the reconfiguration of the powerboard ( allowing feed in of excess power) might take up to one month. The certification of the installation and electrical work only took a few days after installation (enabling the system to be turned on)

too soon to compare estimates given to me prior to signing the contract however my app tells me during the first 3 days of power generation this 6.6 (6.03) system recorded 40kw on a clear hot day in January ( 36 degrees ). These panels are facing south on 27 degree and 22 degree metal roofs. We noticed a distinct drop in radiant heat from the ceilings of our two story house . ( panels can cool the roof up to 5 degrees in summer).
