We called Countryside for an initial quote on a 6.6kw solar system. Once Nick came out to see what they were dealing with, he suggested and quoted a 10kw system for a similar price, with an 8kw Sungrow inverter (not hybrid) and 26 Akcome panels. Installation was fast and friendly, using a local specialist from Oakey. One point to be aware of, we weren't told about the installation date being booked until I called the company for an update, and it turns out installation was booked for 2 days later. On the day, the installer turned up with a few extra panels for the roof and a 10kw inverter of the same brand, so we got a bit extra for nothing! Really happy with how things turned out, I'm currently pushing 5kw to the grid at 9 in the morning.

Panels were installed in September 2020, this latest installation was the addition of a battery and updated DC inverter.

As it was a new product there were initial issues with the logger, but that was quickly resolved by updates. The brand is one of the most widely used in the world, and being a DC connected system it had all the features I wanted such as the ability to operate on battery or solar during mains power outages, the ability to charge the battery with off-peak power to use during peak pricing times, etc.

10 kW, 6,000 cycles, after nearly 3 months I can see the savings on my power bills already.
