Installers were very rough
Review left 2 years after system installed
Installers were very rough. After they left i had problems with power. They left old switches and unterminated wires. The inspector had to fix the problems.
Battery - SAJ
Very happy.
Solar Link for the win!

Michael and his team made it easy to upgrade our solar installations and we would not go anywhere else for solar. The best prices and the best service!
Not overly rapt...
Originally I can’t say I was overly rapt but as i dealing with three different people became confusing, with very little communication between them. Peter who was lovely, sales of course, but then he referred me on to someone else andI didn’t know why or what I should tell her, and then Steph, and all asking the same things and wanting the same photos. There is a lot of non communication in there, an early morning meeting and sharing the info of each client might help, but once date set I was released from worrying about who might call when for what and to be fair, they’re v busy with this Solar govt loan thing. But I needed boxes for the batteries as my garage gets condensation, and I went to check my invoice as they'd been forgotten by the electricians, and I was happy to pay for what I did receive in the meantime, only to find both invoices were dated the same date, even though the boxes were decided upon much later. The second invoice hadn't listed them separately from other parts in the invoice either. That's not a thing I know any admin to do. Same invoice number too (that's a possibility but not the same date when decisions on costs are added later), so I found that all confusing too. The installers were excellent, knew their stuff and did really well. Very pleasant and friendly and professional. Waiting on the boxes as there was some condensation this morning, so do need them, but more than happy now that it's all almost done. Note: a few weeks later, boxes not available yet, that's okay but the query then became did I really need them or not. I constantly asked if I didn't get them who would be responsible if water did get into the batteries, no reply to that. I have opted FOR them, as the back of the garage IS open to the elements but I got a missive from the lady there stating the pros and cons, never an answer as to, if I went with the recommendations, who would be up for what if water did eventually get into them. I'm over them. A full blackout occurred a couple of nights ago, we had no electricity but for lights. I'm still trying to understand that and asked for advice via email re same. Nothing yet.
Battery - Redx Technology
RedX NOT REDBACK but they don't have RedX on the list. Very similar to Redback, made in Oz for Oz conditions. Seem ok but we had a street blackout recently and still waiting on why nothing worked when i clicked over to batteries except for lights..... no reply yet from Solar Link

I was extremely impressed with all the staff from Solar Link Australia, especially Michael who I had contact with on a regular basis. I give Michael 10/10 for his professional, punctual, efficient and friendly customer service, which is a rare find these days with customer service in all industries. He went out of his way to give me the best deal and really looked after me with finding the right and affordable solar panels. I highly recommend the staff, especially Michael from Solar Link Australia. Give Michael a call and you will be very glad you did!

Quoted 8 weeks to install
Quoted 8 weeks to install. Took 7 months, installed a smaller system because wrong system was sent. Instaler only connected half of the panels. Took 12 weeks to connect the other half. Company demand payment before system was working. Today switch board caught fire solar system components wired incorrectly. Contractor arrived reeking of alcohol. Solar link contacted offered to send same contractor back out. Never!

A Well-Deserved 5 Star Rating
This isa 10 KW PV generator and a 10 Kw, 10 KwHr battery, two phases, UPS, switchboard rewire on a steep roof (34 degrees), remote Victorian location. Solar Victoria provided rebates and interest free loans for both the PV and Battery. So, technically, a complex system, difficult logistics and substantial administration. I'm used to managing complex projects, and keep full records of emails and correspondence. I have a large set of files after the sucessful commissioning of the system. One glitch was a 6 week split between Solar Victoria approving the PV generator and the battery. This delayed the installation until January 2024, also a complication as the seaside town has limited accommodation at this time. Solar Victoria provided an extension for the PV Generator install date, and their online system is excellent to administer the necessary approvals. Adam and Tejas provided excellent advice, guidance and kept me up to date on the progress, answering my correspondence promptly. The installation team of three were from Bairnsdale and were led by Max. He was an outstanding installer, producing a very neat installation, carefully stuctured for the system to provide 100% coverage of the house electricity, plus a UPS that covers the essentials in the event of a power outage, which is common as the location is at the end of the electricity line. The team completed the installation in a day and a half. This was the first SAJ system they had installed. A cable fault delayed commissioning; the fault was disgnosed and fixed by Max. The system has been running for two weeks and has produced 660 KwHr in near perfect solar weather. Energy self-sufficienty is 99.1%. The SAJ App takes reading each 5 minutes and is a gold-mine of information. The system has been designed to have the capacity to charge an EV in the future. Currently exporting about 35 KwHr per day, so has the capacity to change an EV in the future. The battery is performing well, quickly topping to 95%, and providing power overnightcoming to about 50% in the morning, down to 15% if the electric oven is used. While 'over-provisioned' in the summer, the expectation is that it will cope very well in winter, and provide for reverse-cycle airconditioning heating. Overall, an excellent result, and my sincere thanks to Solar Link, Max the installer and Solar Victoria for the rebates and loans.
Solar Inverter - SAJ
The App is comprehensive and excellent. The inverter has the ability to run two phases - one the main house and two the UPS, which is also active when the grind is active. The battery gives a percentage readout which helps with power management.
The sales process was quite professional...
Review left 3 years after system installed
The sales process was quite professional and concentrated on the installation details. The installer team were very good, replacing a couple of concrete tiles found cracked and were obliging in shifting items found in the way of their work. Assisted to enable login to the ginlong website to download generation data.
Solar Inverter - Solis
The Solis (Ginlong) website is effective for obtaining the generated data,
Solar link were fine until deposit was paid, stalling tactics after that point were employed, 4 to 6 weeks blew out to 12 weeks, customer service was almost non existent, we were charged for steep roof installation which was never advised $300, never did they inspect site and expected me as a senior citizen to know my roof pitch which was never asked for ,when we enquired when work was to be done we were rudely told to be patient as it’s a busy time of year, when we questioned the extra $300, Tejas was extremely dismissive, job was finally done on a Saturday as I believe they are using whoever they can get to do their installations, the actual installer was fine and efficient, we are still waiting for inspection and final calibrations and who knows when that will happen.

Clear specifications and recommendations provided by company staff. Solar Link staff were pro-active and helpful. Unfortunately, the contractor who installed my system was one of the most disorganised and untidy tradesmen I have dealt with.

GOOD: Modifying their existing package wasn't a hassle to get the inverter I wanted BAD: Grid Connection Paperwork seemed to be delayed significantly, I've had ZERO post-install follow up to arrange for System Servicing, etc

I had no problems with Solar Link Australia, installation was done on time with no issues.
Solar Inverter - Solis
Inverter works well only issue is the monitoring app which is not the greatest in terms of being user friendly.

They are lousy with there whole process and unfortunately I had no idea what to do at the time. No site inspection installed pannells wrong which caused the to burn and cause major problems

Communication in office not bad could however be better.once I got on to Luke he was very helpful and also offered to help me after hours so a big thank you to Luke for going the extra mile for this company.also would like to thank pat byrne and his team for fitting the system did a great job a very happy team obviously love what they do. Couldn't be happier thanks to everyone involved. I would recommend solarlink.
After many Emails and Calls, Solar Link refused to perform a repair to the DC switch on the panels. after 18 months of a 5 year warranty. they do not approve warranty clams for any reason There statment: "For this case, small components are not covered with the warranty, to have this replaced, we require a prepayment of $285 inc GST." 8 Warranties 8.1 Warranties offered Solar Link offers Customers the following warranties: (a) if the System includes the supply of a solar electricity generation system: (i) workmanship on installation for a period of 5 Years from the Installation Date. This includes all parts, installation and performance; (ii)
I was quoted and purchased a 10kw system and provided the company with all relevant information. They used their own Google Earth or other imaging of my home to supply the proposal. Then on the day they arrived for installation, they suddenly announced they could only fit 7kw of panels regardless of having a 10kw inverter. They made comments about how the system would still put out 9.1kw etc. etc. to get me to go ahead, but in practice, the system never generates more than 7.2kw in full sun. I got a small refund that certainly wasn't enough compensation for the reduction in capacity. This is my second bad experience with solar companies as my first system 10 years ago never performed to capacity and was eventually scrapped. Not happy. They had 5 extra solar panels delivered originally and when we looked on the roof, there was clearly space for an additional 2 panels in line with the ones they installed and plenty of space for the other 3 in slightly less perfect places. Instead of trying to maximise our system by using these panels, the pushed very hard to recover them and eventually picked them up yesterday. I believe I had over 10 calls for the pick-up of the 5 panels within 48 hours, certainly not the same expectations when I had a query. On the day of installation when they informed me of the reduced number of panels they could fit, I was at work so couldn't physically verify what they said. Initially I told them to cancel the installation and leave, but they convinced me that they had done their best and the result would be less than 10% under capacity. Obviously, that was untrue. As stated, they did give me a small refund, but I wanted what I ordered, paid for and was approved for. When I came home and saw that there was significant extra space on the same roof panel they use for one array, to add more panels, I was furious. I could have put up the rest myself in a matter of an hour. I still have no idea why so much space was left unused when they had 5 panels left over. I did intend to just install the additional 5 panels myself, but they collected them yesterday while I wasn't at home to argue.

Installation is new so no idea of long term quality but appearance is solid and they are producing the stated amounts per panel

Sam comments as above. Looks fine but only new. I can say that the app connection is almost impossible. Even my IT guys couldn't get it to work
I found Solar Link Australia great to deal with. They offer Great products and great price. Solar Link Australia Highly recommended. The company was very trustworthy, provided great service and great price. They weren't too pushy which is what we liked and didn't rush our decision.

Great inverter. We can monitor what the system is doing and works as intended,
Solar link amazing to deal with. They gave me clear understanding of what system is needed for my solar needs and were very prompt in getting the system installed. They even called em to see how the system is going and helped me set up the app to the system to monitor. Very smooth process.
My installation took place 3rd March 2022. As at 4th May 2022 there has been no contact apart from emailing me an invoice many times. I called the company multiple times and nobody has responded to messages left. The only person who actually answered the phone said they cold not help. All my emails have been ignored. My system is not active and there is no indication it is ever going to be. I am at the stage now of having another installer remove it so I can get a working system. I strongly recommend avoiding this installer. It is not clear if there is some sort of scam at play here, or if they are just completely incompetent. 2 months of ignoring a customer is a risk you may not want to take.
Solar link Australia are amazing to deal with. They didn't over sell me and provided me a solar solution that I needed. Their prices are very competitive. Their afters service was amazing too. They rang to see how the system was going
Chose Solar Link as they were good at working we me on what i wanted, once the order was placed there was no contact, rang after 3 weeks only to be told what i ordered was a 6-7 week wait which turned into 9 weeks. On installing the system, got a different inverter to what was ordered and not the same warranty with no phone call or contact very disappointing would NOT recommend this company to anyone
Solar Inverter - Solis
as said above this was not what i ordered only has a 10 year after registering with emails so will reserve my judgement
Absolutely terrible customer service. Once the deposit was paid, 4 months later I am still waiting for the panels to arrive despite being told on three previous occasions that the installation would be completed. No phone calls from anybody advising me of delays. And no straight answers when I call them for an update.
All went smoothly, installation was done sooner than scheduled after a spot opened
