I could not be more unhappy. I did not rush into getting solar. I got convinced by pricing. In hind sight, I wish I had gone with a local installer and paid an extra $1500 - $3000 for a 12.6kw system. From the initial quote you think you are getting value for money. You send pictures of your meter box and they tell you that is all good. Just prior to installation they told us we needed $880 worth of upgrades. I advised SunBoost we will get our own electrician to quote and complete the required work. We were in no rush. They try and lock you in on dates. I told them I needed to get meter box work completed still. 27/02/23 I get a call from Sunboost to say Installers would be there in 1 hr. I told them I hadn't agreed to the work commencing. Please contact installer and advise them not to attend. The contracted installer turns up. This guy is trying to make a living. Tells me he has booked out 3 days for install and driven from the Tablelands. Job proceeds, because I don't want the installer to miss out on his work. Electrical work to meter box has to be expedited to complete install. The quote of over $880 is grossly inflated. Actual - 1.5hrs labour and $75 in parts. I voice my dissatisfaction to phone operator saying I hadn't agreed to work proceeding. They then try and tell me the layout of panels is costing them money because they have to be installed in a LANDSCAPE configuration the inverters can't go in the garage protected from elements.... I am not a person to write negative reviews. Please get solar with a local company, someone who comes out to your house prior and explains the project. 12.6kw $9500 Electrical $$880 Inverters moved to garage $1200 For an extra $1500 to $2500 I could have got Fronius inverters, better panels and peace of mind that if the system is not working as promised I have a local contact point.

Sunboost will give you the best system at the best price. Avoid other companies if possible. I found out they quote double or more than Sunboost and the components are worse or comparable to what Sunboost

System capacity misrepresented in advertising. Purchased a 6+kw system delivered with a 5kw inverter was never going to deliver advertised capacity. I didn't understand the significance at that time. Best performance has been about 3.5kw. The phone app is useless. The delivered wireless dongle didn't even work. Installer advised the inverter is faulty after testing it at my request. Sunboost on a casual glance disagreed. Sunboost foreigners conistently unhelpful, rude, never returned calls and consistently stonewalled the claim. They don't live in Australia and do not support their products. They are NOT an Australian entity being 100% located overseas it seems. They have proven themselves to be arrogant, deceptive and unresponsive. Tried to get help from the ACT Govt watchdog but they couldn't influence Sunboost and at that p[oint as a retiree my health demanded I surrender. There is a warning here for people believing what their spokesman a former Australian Test Cricket captain says. Even the installer (a thoroughly honorable solar designer & electrician) will no longer deal with them.

Terrible service, misleading promises and a solar monitoring phone app that doesn’t work at all. After sales service is totally nonexistent and they tell you to call the solar panel and inverter manufacturer (in China) for all tech support. Not even close to being value for money as they use cheap unreliable equipment. I give zero stars.
